y  Alkaline Laksa y  Sugar-free Honeymond y v-mee-teow

 

 
 

Ever tried Alkaline Laksa?:

Components:

  • Laksa - that edible white strings

  • Soup

  • Sprinkles

The laksa: if you start off with the dry strings, boil them to adequate softness. Wash and wash and wash thoroughly with alkaline energy water or whatever filtered water system you have at home. Done.

You need these items to make the soup:

  1. Fish fillet

  2. Chilli paste

  3. Cenohom leaves

  4. Bunga Kantan

  5. Onion

  6. Belacan madu

  7. Garam Bukit

  8. Herbal Flavor Enhancer (MSG-free)

  9. 2 L alkaline energy water

  10. Honey

  • Mix and boil half the portion of items 1 - 8. Add water (item 9). Let's call this 'A'.

  • Blend the other half of items 1 -8 in a food mixer. Call this 'B'.

  • Add B into the boiling A.

  • Aroma!

NB:

  • To give the soup some super natural sweetness, add some meshed sardine paste. I reckon, the 'clean' brands for sardines are quite OK. Don't forget to add also some honey (item 10). A little will do.

  • The amount of the listed items should be adjusted to your taste. No specific rule applies.

 

Sprinkles & Garnishing:

NB: Be sure to wash these items clean before chopping them. Always last rinse thoroughly with alkaline energy water or just super-filtered home tap water.

Then.. finely slice some..

  • Onion

  • Cucumber

  • Bunga kantan

  • Red chilli

  • Lots of salad leaves

  • Some of us love the sweet-and-sour  taste of pineapple - go ahead, add this to your list

  • Some people add things like flesh of boiled and salted sotong.. hmm.. nice but # unhealthy #

  • My mom introduced 'cucur udang' as a garnish. This gives the fine oil substance to the dish. My advice is,  remain on the healthy side - cook them in olive oil.

  • Laksa is also nice eaten with some fried tauhu - fry in olive oil or bake.  Slice, then add on..

This is the recipe for KEK BADAM MADU. - HONEYMOND?

 

Ingredients:

  • 220 g butter

  • 1 cup of honey (u may try the spicy version if u like)

  • 4 medium-size eggs

  • 3 cups of self-rising flour

  • 1/2 a cup of finely minced almond

  • 3/4 cup of raisins

  • Vanilla essence!

Stuff everything in, mix and bake till golden yellow..

Easy yup?

 

Serving suggestion.

Serve with chilled dragon fruit, kiwi and mango.

Burn calories  by drinking plenty of plain water and exercise.

 

Enjoy the cake. Keep fit. Maintain  BMI.

Vegetarian Mee + Koay Teow

Mee & Koay Teow Bodies

Wash thoroughly with boiling filtered water, toss and store in a closed container.

Tossing can be done with butter and cream, if you don't mind the fats and calories.

 

Soup

  • 2 L of alkaline energy water

  • Fu-chuk

  • Su-un

  • Mushroom

  • MSG-free fish balls and fish cakes

  • 1 packet of 'Rempah Sup' Adabi

  • 1 tablespoon full of MSG-free herbal flavor enhancer

  • 1 tablespoon of Halagel Garam Bukit (rock salt)

  • 1 standard round piece of Gula Nira.

Other optionals:

  • Baby corn

  • Cili padi

  • Broccoli

  • Cabbage

  • Celery

Stuff these items in a big pot  and boil. Use of clay pot would give the dish a special aroma, which is beyond description. Try out.

 

DO NOT ADD LOBAK MASIN!

 

Sprinkles

Daun bawang and daun sup

Minced red chilli

Home-made bawang goreng (fried in olive oil, recommended)

Tauhu - marinated with rock salt and fried in olive oil

Lots of sliced salad leaves - washed clean

Bean sprout - thoroughly washed

Cucur udang - oven-baked or fried in olive oil

 

Serving Suggestion:

Serve with soy milk + honey (your own honey - spicy honey, if u like)

 

╣NB:  In Penang, home made tauhu and soy milk are available at Pasar Bukit Gedung and Pasar Bayan Baru.
